Office Engineer
Responsibilities
- Support project planning and implementation for 4-5 jobs simultaneously, as requested by Project Manager
- Create submittals and track throughout approval process
- Create RFIs and track throughout response process
- Draft potential change orders detailing additional or originally out of scope work that has been requested
- Develop comprehensive agendas outlining topics to be discussed in key project meetings
- Write meeting minutes documenting outcomes of key project meetings
- Complete quantity take off to confirm quantities for Project Manager or in support of a project estimate
- Understand construction takeoff, estimating, and project management software
- Reach out to specified vendors or subcontractors for RFQs or clarifications
- Support field activities including but not limited to schematic drawings, on-site meetings, and project close out activities
- Attend pre-bid meetings, site walkthroughs, and bid openings
- Knowledge share with other Office Engineers on take-off, submittals, RFIs, etc.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction or other related fields
- Familiarity with construction management software is a plus
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering is a plus
